Roger Pemberton

MUSICAL DIRECTOR ROGER PEMBERTON

Maestro Roger Pemberton is an internationally renowned saxophonist and woodwind specialist, conductor, arranger, and recording artist. He has recorded albums with such legends as Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, and Les Hooper. Roger has written many arrangements for the Glenn Miller Orchestra and the Atlantic Jazz Orchestra. He has produced and recorded two albums: "Chicagojazz" and "Carolina Love Moods."

Roger Pemberton is Jazz Artist in Residence at the University of South Carolina, and maintains a busy schedule of clinics, professional conferences, and performances.

VOCALIST CATHERINE (CATHY) WATSON

Cathy is one of the finest big-band vocalists in the United States. She earned her major in vocal performance at St. Norbert College in DePere, WI, and later worked as a studio musician in Nashville, TN. Since joining the Atlantic Jazz Orchestra, Cathy has performed throughout the United States, Bermuda, and Europe, always winning the praise of audiences with her distinctive style.

EMCEE JEROME (JERRY) GOODRICH

Jerry has emceed programs for audiences throughout the world, to include Fortune 500 executives' meetings at Universal Studios California and Florida, and big-band fans from San Francisco to Graz, Austria. The "voice" of the Atlantic Jazz Orchestra, Jerry has an ingratiating, light-hearted, and informative style that quickly builds rapport with audiences and sets the stage for performance of wonderful big-band standards and modern jazz.

Jerry is also a classically trained vocalist who often performs the National Anthem and other patriotic standards with the orchestra. His extensive bio includes major roles with the Vienna Light Opera Company.
