The Atlantic Jazz Orchestra has been captivating audiences since 1982 with its "big band" sounds. Originally sponsored by US Airways, it has performed in more than 150 cities throughout the United States, Bermuda, Canada, Austria, England, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The Atlantic Jazz Orchestra has played for such prestigious events as the Congressional Medal of Honor Society's National Conventions, the American Musical Salute to Austria's Millennium, and the Centenary of Bermuda's capital, Hamilton. Its audiences have included heads of state, governors, celebrities, members of Congress, the four-star military service chiefs, and the First Lady of the United States of America.

Twenty accomplished musicians combine to recreate the music made famous by Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, and Tommy Dorsey. The performances are a creative mix of big band favorites from the 1930's to the contemporary jazz sounds of today.

Masterful vocal arrangements by Musical Director Roger Pemberton breathe new life into such standards as "Teach Me Tonight" and "Somebody Loves Me," among many others.

The Atlantic Jazz Orchestra has accompanied many top performers and entertainers--to include Ed Shaughnessy of the "Tonight Show," jazz clarinetist Eddie Daniels, the legendary Ben E. King ("Stand by Me"), jazz vocalist Vanessa Rubin, Tara Dawn Holland (Miss America 1997), Nicole Johnson (Miss America 1999), and McLean Stevenson, Loretta Swit, and Gary Burghoff of the hit television series M*A*S*H. Our staff can assist in securing major artists.

The Atlantic Jazz Orchestra is equally adept whether performing for the elegant dinner-dance, in the concert hall, at jazz festivals, for annual employee conferences, or before family audiences in the great outdoors. In support of our Nation's military people and their families, the orchestra has a second identity of the USO Jazz Orchestra. In addition to its extensive jazz repertoire, the Atlantic Jazz Orchestra performs a variety of stirring patriotic music when the occasion calls for it.
